DJ Austy (Austin McCrea) is an award-winning DJ, born and raised near the beaches of Perth, WA.
With 12 years of DJing experience under his belt, he has been booked for over 200+ weddings and 300+ private and corporate functions to date, along with many nightclub and bar residencies for venues across the city... He's even performed on top of the Bell Tower!
Throughout the 2010s Austy performed his own music at large-scale music festivals like Southbound, Listen Out, Groovin’ the Moo and Splendour in the Grass in Byron Bay – he found himself supporting and playing alongside artists such as Rüfüs Du Sol, Safia, ASAP Ferg, Peking Duk and Hayden James. More recently, Austy won the 2019 Habitat DJ Competition held at Geisha Nightclub in Northbridge, Perth’s most prestigious underground DJ competition. Currently, he is a resident DJ for a number of popular venues around Perth including Stables, The Reveley, QT Hotel Rooftop & Good Company under Streamline Entertainment Agency.
Over his career span, Austy has collected a vast number of timeless tunes that range from 70s disco, 80s rock, 90s/ 00s dance and pop music - all the way up to current-day chart-toppers. Austy says his love for music has no limits and this is truly reflected in his ability to weave in and out of genres and musical eras with ease. Requests and song lists are more than welcome to give Austy an idea of the exact vibe you're after, so you can be sure he’ll have your favourite music for your big event.
I have an easy-going and calm approach to Events & DJing. My style is relaxed and behind-the-scenes, but I always make sure a fun atmosphere is the top priority!
